Lymington is a pretty Georgian market town with much to offer. It has a quay and marina plus a sea water lido and the Isle of Wight ferry terminus.

A busy market takes over the High Street every Saturday of the year.

There are numerous interesting shops as well as restaurants and tea rooms.

The visitor Centre and museum is in the middle of the town, with information on local sights.

As we are in the New Forest, many walks and cycle routes are easily accessible. Bicycle hire companies are numerous.

Horse riding is a must for the best way to see the New Forest, there are many stable yards who welcome visitors (experienced & novice) and who will provide equipment.

Not to be missed is the NEW FOREST SHOW mid July, and the beautiful EXBURY GARDENS, especially during May.

Lymington is a good base for visiting Salisbury and Winchester (both about 40 mins by car) and of course the seaside resorts of Milford on Sea, Barton on Sea, Highcliffe, and the exceptional beaches of Bournemouth.
